Welcome to Something's Afoot, Again
this year, we are offering a selection of tours in five areas of Ontario. I hope to see you on at least one of them.

After many years of traveling, including several hiking holidays (Wales, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, other Canadian provinces), I realized that there were also wonderful experiences close to home that many travelers had not discovered so I decided to share with others the unique experiences of hiking in Ontario.

I'm a member of several of the trail Associations as are my guides. On our almost weekly hikes, we are still amazed at the diversity the trails have to offer. More recently, we’ve become aware of the many other trail systems and smaller local trails throughout the province, most of them developed and maintained by local volunteers.

We’re interested in ecology, history and geology and have become fascinated by the wealth in those areas that we want to show you. Our backgrounds in education and hospitality management just added to our feelings that this is what we were meant to do!

We began in 2001 by offering tours in the Niagara area
and, the following year, added Quinte and Rideau. In 2003, we spent
considerable time in the Haliburton Forest Reserve and, the following year, were
able to run a very successful trip there. In 2006, we offered another new tour,
focusing on the Bruce Peninsula with its fantastic views and great trails – wild
orchids, too! As we explore and research other areas in Ontario, we intend to add them to our repertoire.
