HALIBURTON HOLIDAY

Spend an extended weekend with us sampling the unparalleled natural beauty of the Haliburton Highlands.  Most of our time is spent in the Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve, staying in the cozy cottages there and taking advantage of some of the facilities and programs.

We take part in the "Walk in the Clouds" experience including a guided van tour, a short hike, a canoe ride and a canopy boardwalk suspended some 20 metres above the forest floor.

We attend an evening presentation about wolves which concludes with a wolf howl.  During the day, we are able to observe the activities of a wolf pack in natural habitat only five metres from us.

We are guided through the night sky at a state-of-the-art observatory.

Hikes will be through rolling hardwood forests with several lookouts over the small lakes which dot the property.

On our way to the area from Toronto, we hike on the Wilson's Falls Trail near Bracebridge.  A visit to the village of Haliburton is included.

Please note that all accommodation is in double/twin rooms with shared bathrooms.  The tour starts and ends in Toronto and transportation is by van.
